The cells of a younger person are growing and changing so much faster that it is prime growing place for melanoma. Skin cancer is on the rise, and more than seventy percent of all cases can be linked back either to the sun, or to a tanning bed.

Tanning also suppresses a person’s immune system. This means that they are not as easily able to fight off an infection or a common cold. Trying to look healthy is not as important as actually being healthy.

If you just love the look of a tan, there are spray tans now that look just as real. The technology has advanced so that there is no more orange glow when using a spray tan. Or there are self tanning lotions that progress over time. These lotions that progress, are very hard to make mistakes on because you would have to make the same mistake in the same spot every day for a week. That is highly unlikely.
